Alisha Boatswain: Absolutely! My time at Adidas was incredibly enriching. As the Global Assistant Manager, I was responsible for leading the brand’s messaging and innovative strategies across all social media platforms. This role required me to enhance the brand’s digital presence and ensure that our messaging resonated with our audience. I managed social media publishing for product launches and cultural moments, which meant I had to stay on top of trends and ensure timely engagement. Collaborating with partners and agencies was also a significant part of the job. We developed content concepts that not only strengthened the brand’s online identity but also fostered community engagement. The experience taught me the importance of balancing creativity with strategic execution, and I loved every moment of it.

Alisha Boatswain: Working as a Writer for Adidas at We Are Social was a fantastic opportunity. I managed social content for Adidas Women and Adidas Originals. I had to ensure that our messaging was on point and aligned with the brand’s values. Creating trending copy for publications was particularly exciting! It allowed me to tap into current trends and engage our audience in meaningful ways. I also coordinated with social and PR teams to maintain an up-to-date editorial calendar, which streamlined our content delivery and ensured we were always ahead of the game. New York Art Life: You have a diverse background in production as well. Can you share your experience as a Freelance Shoot Operations Assistant at ASOS?

Alisha Boatswain: Certainly! My time at ASOS as a Freelance Shoot Operations Assistant was important in honing my production skills. I assisted in the production of photo and video shoots. I had to ensure that everything ran smoothly and adhered to deadlines. Supporting the creative team was a highlight of this role. I learned a lot about the intricacies of visual content production, aligning it with ASOS’s branding and marketing strategies.

New York Art Life: You also worked as a Freelance Junior Product Video Producer at YOOX Net-A-Porter. What were your key responsibilities there?

Alisha Boatswain: At YOOX Net-A-Porter, I was responsible for shooting and editing digital footage for e-commerce. My main challenge was enhancing product visibility and driving sales potential. Collaboration was key, as always. I worked closely with photographers and retouches to ensure that the video quality matched branding guidelines and color accuracy. Alisha Boatswain: What a dream! My internship at Adidas was, of course, a foundational experience. I supported the Entertainment, Influencer & Marketing team, pulling mood boards for influencer festival packages and organizing logistics for influencer outreach.

I’m very grateful for this role because it helped me understand the dynamics of collaborative marketing efforts. Also, I got to know the importance of influencer relationships in today’s digital landscape. I learned how to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively, skills that have served me well throughout my career. I will forever be thankful for this internship experience.

New York Art Life: You also worked as a Junior Videographer Assistant at Strrr TV. How did that role enhance your video production skills?

Alisha Boatswain: That role was incredibly hands-on. I operated the main interview cameras during shoots and assisted with sound and lighting setup. It was a great opportunity to gain practical experience in video production, which is invaluable in the digital content landscape. Working closely with the videographer allowed me to learn about the technical aspects of production while also understanding how to tell compelling stories through visuals. It was an exciting time that sparked my passion for video content.

New York Art Life: You’ve developed a diverse skill set in digital content creation. Can you elaborate on the skills you’ve acquired over the years?

Alisha Boatswain: Over the years, I’ve honed my skills in social media management, creative strategy, and content marketing. My technical abilities include a basic understanding of programming languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I’m also proficient in various software applications, including Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and Adobe Lightroom.
